استقبل علاء فاروق وزير الزراعة واستصلاح الأراضي وفدا رفيع المستوى من شركة كرافت هاينز العالمية برئاسة باتريك شريدان نائب رئيس الشركة وحضور المهندس مصطفى الصياد نائب وزير الزراعة وبحث معهم سبل تعزيز استثمارات الشركة في مصر ،
“فاروق” استمع من مسئولي الشركة رؤيتهم لتحويل مصر لمركز صناعي وتصديري عملاق لتغطية مناطق الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا وأوروبا حيث قامت الشركة خلال العاميين الماضين باستثمار ٥٠ مليون دولار في توسعات مصنعها الكائن بالمنطقة الصناعية في ٦ اكتوبر لمضاعفة السعة الإنتاجية وزيادة التصدير بنسبة ٦٠٪ وتم افتتاح المصنع في سبتمبر ٢٠٢٤.
حيث أكد مسئولي شركة كرافت هاينز العالمية ثقتهم في امكانية تحويل مصر لمركز لزراعة الطماطم ايضاً.. وذلك من خلال التوسع في العقود الحالية مع التركيز علي الاستدامة والمسئولية المجتمعية والتعاقد على محصول الطماطم بغرض التصدير لدول الاتحاد الأوربي وذلك لزيادة خطوط الإنتاج في مصر وأعرب مسئولوا الشركة عن استعدادهم لدعم المزارعين بالبذور المنتقاة والتي تتحمل التغيرات المناخية
من ناحيته أكد وزير الزراعة على دعم المستثمرين وأن الدولة المصرية ترحب بالاستثمارات الأجنبية في مجال الزراعة والتعاون مع القطاع الخاص ومؤكدا على التوجيهات الرئاسية بضرورة الاهتمام بالمجالات التى تحقق القيمة المضافة وتشجيع القطاع الخاص للدخول في التصنيع الزراعي وبالتالي دعم الناتج القومي فضلاً عن تقليل الفاقد والهدر في المحاصيل خاصة الاستراتيجية منها،
“فاروق” وجه قيادات الوزارة بالتعاون مع شركة هاينز وتقديم كافة أوجه الدعم الفني لها
وفي نهاية الاجتماع تم الاتفاق على
التعاقد مع المزارعين بنظام الزراعة التعاقدية والتوسع في استخدام الاصناف التي تتوافق مع متطلبات التصنيع،
