وتجول وزير الإسكان بمراحل المشروع، والتي شملت المرحلة الأولى “عقد 16” بطاقة 1.5 مليون م3 / يوم، وكذا المرحلة الثانية “عقد 19” بطاقة مليون م3 / يوم، لتصل طاقة معالجة المحطة إلى 2.5 مليون متر مكعب يوميا.
كما تفقد المهندس شريف الشربيني غرفة التحكم الخاصة بإدارة المحطة بالكامل إلكترونيا، واستمع لشرح تفصيلي حول سير العمل بالغرفة وآليات التعامل مع جميع المواقف على مدار اليوم، حيث يتم التحكم من تلك الغرفة بأعمال التشغيل والإيقاف بكافة مكونات المحطة، وهو أحد الاسباب التى دفعت بتفرد المحطة بين باقى المحطات، من خلال سرعة تدارك الأخطاء ومعالجتها.
كما استمع الوزير إلى شرح لمراحل المعالجة حيث تتم أولى تلك المراحل وهى مرحلة ما قبل المعالجة، حيث تستقبل المياه ويتم رفع الرمال والزيوت من المياه، بعدها مباشرة تبدأ مرحلة المعالجة الابتدائية والتى تشمل مجموعة من الخزانات تسمى “خزانات الترسيب الابتدائى”، ويتم مكوث المياه بها لفترة معينة تتراوح ما بين ساعتين إلى ساعتين ونصف، تسمح للحمأة والمواد العضوية الثقيلة بالترسب، وتقوم الشبكة الموجودة أسفل تلك الخزانات بسحب الحمأة ودفعها إلى المراحل الأخرى، ويتم أيضا فى نفس المرحلة عملية ترسيب الحمأة الابتدائية.
وقال المهندس عبد الوهاب حلمى، مدير محطة المعالجة بالجبل الأصفر إنه بعد الانتهاء من تلك المرحلة تبدأ أولى مراحل المعالجة من خلال انتقال المياه إلى خزانات التهوية ويتم بها المعالجة البيولوجية من خلال ضخ أكسجين داخل الخزانات لتنمية البكتريا الهوائية التى تقوم بهضم المواد العضوية، بعدها تبدأ مرحلة “الترويق النهائى”، ثم تبدأ مرحلة الملامسة للكلور ويتم ضخ الكلور، كما أنه فى نفس الوقت تسير عملية توليد الكهرباء من الحمأة الناتجة من المعالجة، حيث يتم انتاج نحو 60% من الكهرباء التي تحتاجها المحطة.

ما يشتمل عليه المعمل من الأجهزة الحديثة والتقنية الفنية العالية في إجراء التجارب اليومية لمياه الصرف الصحي المعالج، ومؤكداً أهمية المتابعة الدقيقة لنتائج العينات حفاظاً على البيئة وحفاظاً على المواطنين.
وفي ختام الجولة، ثمن وزير الإسكان الجهود المبذولة في تسيير الأعمال بالمحطة، مؤكدا ضرورة بذل المزيد لتحقيق أقصى استفادة من إمكانات المحطة ونواتج المعالجة بجانب الصيانة والمتابعة الدورية لمختلف المكونات للحفاظ عليها
