وفي مستهل اللقاء، أشاد رئيس الوزراء بجهود التعاون القائمة حاليًا بين الحكومة المصرية وشركة “يارا كلين أمونيا”، لاسيما في مجال الهيدروجين الأخضر، مُعربًا عن تطلعه لتعزيز مجالات التعاون مع الشركة؛ في ضوء اهتمام مصر بزيادة القدرات الكهربائية المُولدة من الطاقة المتجددة، التي يُمكن استخدامها في إنتاج الهيدروجين الأخضر، مشيرًا في الوقت نفسه إلى خطة الدولة المصرية لزيادة معدلات الطاقات المتجددة في مزيج الطاقة.
وفي هذا السياق، قال رئيس الوزراء إن الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة هي الاستثمار الحقيقي في المستقبل؛ في ضوء التحديات الناجمة عن التغيرات المناخية، داعيا إلى ضرورة تكثيف التعاون المشترك لتحقيق الأهداف المرجوة في هذا المجال.
بدوره، أشاد السيد/ هانز أولاف راين، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة يارا كلين أمونيا النرويجية بالتعاون القائم مع الحكومة المصرية، منوهًا بأهمية الزيارة التي قام بها مؤخرًا فخامة الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي، رئيس الجمهورية، إلى النرويج، حيث شهدت الزيارة التوقيع على عدد من الاتفاقيات الثنائية بين البلدين، مؤكدًا أن شركة “يارا” تعتزم بناء تعاون طويل الأمد مع مصر.
كما أكد السيد “راين” تطلعه لزيارة مصر في أقرب فرصة لبحث توسيع التعاون المشترك في مجال إنتاج الهيدروجين الأخضر والأمونيا.
واستعرض ممثلو شركة “يارا” النرويجية خطط الشركة لإنتاج اليوريا والمخصبات، مُعربين عن تطلعهم للتعاون مع مصر في هذا المجال.
وفي غضون ذلك، أشارت وزير التخطيط والتنمية الاقتصادية والتعاون الدولي، إلى أهمية تعزيز التعاون مع الشركة النرويجية خاصة على ضوء وجود حوافز ودعم أوروبي للشركات العاملة في مجال الهيدروجين الأخضر.
فيما رحب وزير الاستثمار والتجارة الخارجية بالتعاون مع الشركة بما يُسهم في تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق معها خلال الفترة المقبلة.
